There are three categories of romances – sweet, sensual, and erotica. In sweet love stories, the maximum you could expect to happen is a few chaste kisses and subtle love inferences. Romantic scenes in these romance books are tender as the story is more centered on a family-oriented plot rather than depicting love brewing between couples. Sensual romance novels have storylines where the plot is essential, but the author liberally sprinkles romantic love scenes here and there! The passion and chemistry between the pair is intense and evident. Euphemisms and metaphorical descriptions are made use of instead of giving details of what actually ‘happens’. These books are capable of conjuring very vivid sensual pictures in your mind! If you think you fall under this category, you could try romance ebooks by Harlequin, especially the Silhouette Desire series.
Coming to erotica romance books, very little (or rather, nothing!) is left to the imagination. The romantic love scenes are described in length and very explicit content can be expected. Be prepared for consummated love scenes that are steamy and passionate, to say the very least!
