mostly ebooks and audio boooks. and not music and movies. waht are the chances? will there be a warning? can the author really bother to file a lawsuit?
You could get jail time, but they will probably just fine you. It does not matter what kind of content you download, as long as you do it without the owner’s permission. The owner does not have to file a lawsuit for the FBI to go after you. Recently, the feds focused on going after users, not just distributors. There will be no warning. One day, there will be a knock on your door, and they will slap the cuffs on you.
