How i can reterive the stored data on a memory stick on my Sony Clie PDA,after it got Discharged completely,?
Few years back I bought a sony Clie PDA,OS model PEG-TJ 27, I bought some medical ebooks and installed in it, they were working fine, until I went on 1 month vactaions and the PDA got completely discharged. I recharged it and even reset it many times but still cannot reterive those books stored on the memory stick in it. I took out the memory stick and checked it on my PC, it still has all those books saved on it, but unfortunately, I cannot terive them on my PDA. Beside reteriving these books, the PDA is working fine with all the default functions from factory level. I hope if some one can guide me to retive those books.More over my computer knowlege is very limited so plz guide me in some easy way.Thaks all.

It sounds at first like you might have had an ebook reader installed on the Clie that wasn’t part of the default Palm OS that’s hardwired in the device. Check your software and see if you can find it and re-install it. If you have a backup of your Clie, definitely try to restore it, since the software would probably be there.
Apart from that, if you purchased the ebooks, you might need a key code to “unlock” them so you can read them. Get in touch with the company you bought them from and explain your situation.
Finally, the Clies all come with a basic backup program to backup the contents of the PDA’s memory onto your memory stick. Use it as often as you remember it’s there. It saved my butt many times during my PDA years, since I rarely synced my Clie with my computer, and I always seemed to run my battery down.
