Am I wrong…?
I just saw the news article on Amazon’s new Kindle wireless reading device retailing at $399.00
It allows owners to download and read ebooks.
My coming-of-age novel GAMEPLAYER: The Genesis Portal is offered as an ebook, but a reader can buy the paperback online at Amazon, B&N, Target, etal for $12.95 or less.
How many print books could be bought for that price?
Am I missing something?
GAMEPLAYER: The Genesis Portal is $3.32 as an ebook on Amazon.com so you can read my ebook at your leisure for only $403.32. Or buy it online for $12.95. Your choice.
no you’re not wrong. tech-oriented marketing folk are behind ebooks. mass publishers know better, or else there would be this huge movement toward ebooks, which there isn’t. the average reader is far and a more comfortable with a physical book because of the feel, the smell, the sounds, etc. plus old-fashioned books are just easier on the eyes.
until the entire western world completely rids itself of paper in every aspect, the ebook will continue to be relagated to the slums of the publishing world
