I’ve had my Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device Free 3G first day, but I cannot imagine going back to the Kindle 2 at this time. The difference in contrast between the 2 main is dramatic – basically, as the title states that: night and day.

i’ve owned a Kindle seeing that November of 2007, and loved my original Kindle. The Kindle 2 had been never quite right to me; I felt the contrast was too light, but I liked so a lot of the other features that I kept it and still have read on it in the past year and a one half. After one day when using the new Graphite DX, I need ideas of how I managed! The text is thus clear and crisp and dark as well as background so light that will my daughter’s first investigate seeing the new screen was it appeared backlit! I love having more text to the page, meaning fewer internet page clicks, though the buttons for the DX are totally noiseless when pushed. They have a great response and the perfect resistance as well. The graphite is handsome, though I always liked the white perfectly. I know many people have written the fact that darker bezel may help out with the improved screen look, but to my face, the screen is just that much better on its own. I even covered the graphite bezel with all the white bezel of my own old Kindle to check and it’s a dramatic improvement about my K2(US version).
i will be getting used to this larger size and fat faster than I thought i might. Though I thought i’d originally read the DX sans cover owing to its size, I have ordered and received the particular red Amazon cover and also prefer reading the DX doing this. It just feels safer and many more secure to me, and I no problem about getting my fingers through out that vast screen floor while carrying it. i have also discovered through trial and error we like the fewest text per line option, giving a pleasant margin to the page. With the text consequently clear and dark, I’m in a position to read at a smaller sized font in low lighting, so even with this fewest words chosen, I still get plenty of text on every site.
I do miss the following page button on your left hand side, but as I develop DX more, I’m sure I’ll reach as it less and less. I’m undecided why Amazon chose not to ever give us that option within the DX; I know some have suggested it might have been to maintain weight down. Whatever the main reason, I do miss the idea. Another small quibble is the fact you are not qualified to change the line spacing on a page of text as possible on the Kindle two. With experimentation, I found that deciding on fewer words per line set it up almost the same effect, but it would be nice to own that choice as properly. These are minor grievances, and far, far outweighed by the superior reading experience.
the unit I have has powerful, quality, and well-built really feel. The buttons are tranquil, the keyboard responsive. article turns are fast, especially considering the much larger amount of text per page compared to the K2. Overall, I am thrilled with this purchase.
If you are about the fence, wondering if the Graphite DX really is the fact that much better, I should say, unequivocally, it will be.
