Are the Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader struggling? Will they soon be discontinued?
I asked for a Sony Reader for Christmas, and when I talk to friends about it, they tell me “I thought that the electronic book business isn’t going so well, and they were going to discontinue the readers soon.” I’ve not heard this and have only heard about how everyone loves their Kindle. Is there any truth that they will be discontinued soon?
Of course not. At least not for the Amazon Kindle. You know, the Kindle device is the top seller of the whole Amazon website. It is selling crazy, even better than any books sold on Amazon.

I own the Kindle 2 and I like it very much. It is better than Sony Reader because Amazon provide good content support, and the number of books available in Kindle format is kept on increasing (right now there are 300,000 Kindle books). Sony Reader, however, many users complain that it is difficult to find suitable books, and books on it are more expensive than the Kindle. Other benefits of the Kindle over Sony Reader include the free wireless internet access, and the text-to-speech function.
