Can you read Kindle for PC books w/out internet?
I just downloaded the Kindle for PC edition. I know that to purchase books you need to have a live internet connection, but can you read the books after you purchased/downloaded them if you are not connected to the internet? I would want to read the books on a laptop that is not always connected to the internet. I was not able to find a clear answer on Amazon’s site.
Yes, you can read offline. Just buy the book you want and then go to the menu in Kindle for PC and select sync and check for new items. They get saved to a folder in your documents. Make sure to check out the freebies. They add several each month.
