Can I read Nook books on my Kindle?
My nook was damaged at an airport and I can no longer use the touchscreen. The warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage so I am stuck having to buy an entirely new one. I was thinking of switching to the new Kindle to avoid this problem in the future but was hesitant because I have bought quite a few “nook books” from B&N and was worried I might not be able to transfer them over. Does anyone know if it’s possible to read books bought from B&N on a Kindle? (new or old)
If they’re DRM protected, you won’t be able to convert them to the Kindle format and odds are, 99.99% of them are DRM protected. FYI: it’s illegal to strip DRM. If you’ve already read them, it’s probably not a big deal if they aren’t on your Kindle, if you get one. You can also read them on an app such as B&N’s desktop and mobile apps, so it’s not like they’re lost forever if you don’t buy another Nook.
