PDF Support for Kindle 2?
Does anyone know if Amazon will add Native PDF support for K2 in a future upgrade, or if that’s even possible to do? That’s one of the only reasons I’d consider buying the new DX…
I don’t think so. I think the lack of native PDF support of the Kindle 2 should be some built-in hardware limitation. It’ll also be a key difference between Kindle 2 and Kindle DX, otherwise Amazon will not be able to make it $130 more expensive than the Kindle 2.
I’ll say if native PDF support is important to you, and you like the larger size and is fine with the $130 extra cost, then get the Kindle DX. Indeed, I think the larger screen will be good for reading PDF which are normally letter-size, and also for reading newspaper. Read the Kindle DX sales page and there is a very good and clear comparison between the two:

Hope it helps.
