Which is better? Amazon’s Kindle or Barnes and Noble’s Nook?
Im really considering buying an E-book. But i don’t know which to purchase. Should I purchase the Kindle or Nook? Which of the two are better? Does anyone have any experience with these 2 items???? Thanx sdo much

Barnes & Noble has the largest selection of eBooks (over a million) and the largest selection of free eBooks (over 500,000). The Nook battery is replaceable (unlike the Kindle) and the memory is expandable (unlike the Kindle). And both items (new battery and memory) can be purchased for under 25 dollars each. Another crucial advantage is the Nook’s format flexibility. Amazon’s eBooks have their own DRM format that does not allow you to use them on any other device or put any other eBook on your Kindle. You can read B&N eBooks on PCs, Macs, Blackberry’s, and iPhones and you can put other files not purchased from B&N on your Nook. The Nook has the Lend Me feature which allows you to send publisher approved books to people with a Nook or B&N eReader software on another device (computer, cell phone) for 14 days. However, you can also permanently share the files through email or transferred another way, such as with a USB drive. The Nook has no backlight which eliminates eye strain and glare in the sun, however, this does mean you need a light in order to read it. If you bring your Nook into any Barnes and Noble store you are able to read any eBook in full. You also have the benefit of in-person support from Barnes & Noble employees (my local B&N has a Nook book club that provides tech support) that you do not have with the Kindle. The Kindle, unlike the Nook has the text to speech function, however, it is a notoriously unpleasant robotic voice. Barnes & Noble is currently working on making it possible to purchase audio books through the Nook so that customers have the benefit of a voice actor. You can also put audio books purchased online or in store on your Nook through the computer as well as music in mp3 format.
This is just a list of the notable differences. The devices are basically the same size and weight and have many of the same essential functions.
