international shipping question?
I’m thinking of purchasing a kindle for my wife and having it shipped to her parents in the sates – then have them ship it to us here in China.
My question is, is that possible? Will there be any kind of fees (customs, tax, etc)? Is it safe?
We have sent and received many packages with no problems, but none of them had anything this valuable in it….nor did any of them have any electronics beside one video game and a season of Scrubs – so I’m not sure what shipping an e-book reader necessarily entails.

But first, you have to make sure your Kindle can connect to the GSM network in China.

Then click under the sub-heading “Global Coverage” click the link “Wireless Coverage map”. If there is no purple over your location, The kindle will be pretty much useless.
