My Amazon Kindle is messed up, someone please help?
I was using my Kindle during class today when one of my friends took it and messed with it, pressing a bunch of buttons. Now the box on the screen that says “Go to…” and then, “enter a location number”, won’t go away. It does when my Kindle is off, on sleep mode, or playing a game. but otherwise it stays. Usually it will disappear when I press the Back button, but I have tried that & it’s still messed up. I know the Back button is still working, it just won’t make the box go away. I’ve done everything I can think of; turning pages, pressing Home, turning it off & on, going to locations, scrolling up and down with the 5-way… yeah. But the box still won’t leave. It blocks like a third of the screen so I can’t read, & i was in the middle of a good book, so please answer soon. Thanks!
Two suggestions for you:
1. Type in a location number in the box, and click the Go to button. Maybe once it’s utilized it will go away.
2. Slide and hold the power switch for 30 full seconds. That’s supposed to reset the device. Your library will still be there. don’t worry.
