how can I get my Kindle to save my password for my wifi?
First of all, when it asks for a password, what it actually wants is the Network Key, which is that long ugly number that hardly anyone has memorized. So, I figured that out. By I brought my Kindle to work today and brought it back home and it wanted that Network Key again, which is fine, but how can I get it to save it without me having to type it in every time? I checked Amazon’s instruction book and have searched on-line with no luck. I figured since my laptop gave me the option and has the password saved, then the Kindle should have that same option. I tried settings but couldn’t find any way of doing it. I have the cheapee “Kindle Wifi With Special Offers” version. It’s not 3G or anything. It’s just a Kindle with Wifi and Special Offers means that you don’t have the ability to use cute pics of your dog as your screensaver–you’re stuck with the ads from their sponsors….Visa, Oil of Olay, etc, but no big deal. I just wanted an E-Reader.
According to Amazon, “Once you set up a Wi-Fi network and connect to it, Kindle automatically connects to it the next time you return to the same place, as long as the Wi-Fi signal is strong enough.”
