I dithered around for a year before I bought the Kindle DX. I love the feel of books and I was afraid that I would lose that feeling with an e-reader. But I’m getting older and someday I might have to face life in assisted living environments. If that happens I wouldn’t have room to take all my books. Well it dawned on me that I could replace my Classics for a pittance and gradually replace my mysteries, biographies, science and history books as money becomes available. I purchased my Kindle DX in late October. I loaded it with 13 books of different genres and I’ve already read the first seven books. It’s actually faster to click a page than turn one so I often read long into the night. (Thank God I’m retired and no longer have to get up at 5 am!) My cat still keeps me company while I’m reading but no longer acts jealous of the Kindle–just a little tetchy when he wants me to turn out the light at 2 am. I love the fact that the Kindle comes with a dictionary that can be used while reading. The Kindle DX isn’t heavy or bulky and fits in many of my purses. I have begun making lists of books that I want and I’m looking forward to living into my 90′s in order to read them all. My brother has a smaller version and now covet Kindle DX.
I have been “Kindled”
I searched and I searched for an ebook reader that would, above anything else, provide an amazing reading experience. The Kindle DX Graphite has delivered this experience to me. Though the cost factor gave me reasons to re think my buying decision but I am glad I shelved that thought. The best part is that the screen gives amazing clarity and as the screen is bigger the pages display in a proper format and are comfortable to read. Thankfully there is no back light which makes reading a strain free experience. Reading long pdf files is easy.
I have only praises for this product and I totally urge people to buy it even though it costs more than other products.Its worth every penny.
