AC/DC power adapter same input different output?
Hi everybody,
I have a kindle without power adapter (EU)
and I have a universal power adapter that has the same input but the different output so I am not sure if it will damage my kindle
If there is any expert I put both the technical details of the official power adapter and my universal one

There is no harm in using this universal adapter to your kindle.
The orig kindle charger has an output of 5Volts, 1Ampere, these power is used only to charge the built-in rechargeable Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) battery that is rated at 3.7V 1530mAh. This means if the battery is in full charge it has a 3.7 Volts and can give a 1530 milli Ampere of current in 1 hour of power or 1.5 Ampere of current in 1 hour,
The universal power adapter charger output have also the capability to recharge the 3.7V kindle battery with its 4.2V capacity ( a .8 difference for 5V) only for a longer period of time because of its low current rating of 400mA ( less than half of 1Amp). 1000mA is equals to 1Amp.
If you use the orig kindle power adapter with 5V 1A rating, the battery will be “completely charges in two hours”. But if you use this universal power adapter it will charge the battery in more than 3 hours.
