Can you download books you already own on a sony reader/kindle?
I already own a lot of paperback/hardback books. If i get a Sony Reader or a Kindle i don’t want to have to buy them all again. Is there a way on either product that you can download books to the product that you already own? If not, are there any digital readers that can?
I’m sorry but no. I’m a book lover and I own a lot of books too, but they cannot be used for exchange of ebooks. I’ve bought the Kindle 2 at the beginning of this year, and now I just buy most of my books for the Kindle. And I just take physical books for reading when I need them.
If you’re getting one, don’t get the Sony Reader. It is more difficult to find books for it, and they are more expensive. Get the Kindle device instead, getting books on it are cheaper than physical books, so you can save quite a lot of money in long term.

Finally, guess you know, Amazon has just put a price slash on the Kindle 2, and it is now selling $100 cheaper than the price I got my Kindle, and it adds in international wireless access… So take the chance if you want it.
