How to solve Kindle problems?
Every time I look at my kindle, the opening screen pops up, the one that says on the bottom “Slide and reease the power switch to wake”. And I keep trying to wake it up, but it never does. I tried charging it, but that didn’t work either. And before that, it kept restarting, constantly. Can you please help me? I’m a book worm on winter break and have nothing else to do!!
If it’s in the Amazon brand leather non-lighted cover, remove that. The hinges have been reported to be causing a short and creating lots of problems. If it isn’t in that cover, to wake it just slide and release the power switch; don’t hold it. If you’re holding it, that’s where the problem is. If that’s not the problem, restart it by sliding and holding the power switch for about 30 seconds until it starts to boot up. Release the switch when that happens, even if it’s less than 30 seconds but hold it no more than 35 seconds. When it starts to boot, just be patient until the progress bar is filled and it will turn on automatically. If you still have a problem after that, the best bet is to contact Kindle Customer Service at 1-866-321-8851. Do not call Amazon Customer Service.
