Getting the document format for kindle? AZW/PDF?
Ok, so I know you can read PDFs on the kindle- do they read like regular books? Because I would liek to gets books from other sources besides the kindle store on amazon. If you download from a free library on the internet do they like give it to you in an AZW form, or PDF, and is there a way to turn PDF into AZW?
Also, say you download the book you want onto you’re computer. When you plug your kindle in, do you select files that are in the right format to sync to your kindle?
PDF files are essentially image files. Unless they’re sized for the Kindle they are pretty awkward. Your best solution is a mobi or azw file. Many online sources, like Project Gutenberg, offer this file format for download. Most free libraries on the internet use .epub, which is not supported by the Kindle. And since it has DRM, it cannot be converted to Kindle format.
