Instead of just making a pile of Korans and torching it, why not put the Koran to some good use?
Third world people are in constant need of fuel for their everyday task of cooking. So why not use the Koran as kindling or a substitute for firewood? We all know many poor countries are stripping endangered rainforests for fuel, and that is unfortunate. Burning Korans instead would definitely help in environmental preservation efforts around the world, don’t you think?
I don’t think burning of Quran is justified but neither is Muslims’ killing of the innocents/terrorism.
Of course, only a few fanatics may be doing it but they are the ones who are practicing what is written in the Quran to the best of their understanding.
I’m still waiting for moderate Muslims to condemn what the terrorists are doing. Instead they seem to be supporting them.
