Kindle related question (amazon kindle)?
I bought my kindle when it was 299 and only US wireless versions were available, and now, that new kindles are available, I have a few questions
1 Is it true that you can access Internet from any part of the world (even in the areas where there is no 3G network)?
2 Sometimes I use my kindle (when I’m in the USA) to read news via google or some other sites (quality is not as good as on laptops, but it’s readable and more convenient when you are in a car or somewhere outside), so my question is – do they charge me for using the Internet this way?
3 Is it worth to switch ti worldwide wireless version?
1) Not any. They have a wireless coverage map that shows you what countries/areas are covered.
2) There’s no charge IF the internet is allowed. In some countries it isn’t and you can only access wiki.
3) It hasn’t been so far to me (I’m in Japan). Just something to take into consideration also, it DOES cost extra for each book you download if you have an international kindle and are registered as an international user. You also don’t get access to the books unless their copywrite applies to your country.
