The Newly Released Samsung Fascinate Lives Up To Its Name
One of the better phones from the newly released Galaxy S line, the Samsung Fascinate is now available from Verizon Wireless. Other carriers offer the other phones from the Galaxy S series which share a similar design as the Fascinate. The Fascinate runs with an Android operating system and one of its best features is a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen that makes it more visible in sunlight. The phone features a 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash and the capability of recording HD video. It also can be used as a mobile hot spot by up to five devices and has a notepad app for quick messages and a unified inbox and calendar. Other phone functions include conference calling, visual voice mail, speed dial, voice commands, chat view and text messaging. Verizon adds its own special features such as NFL Mobile, Skype Navigator, V Cast Music and Video and VZ Navigator.
Samsung Fascinate accessories include the standard cell phone items, but the Fascinate accessories clearly are better than average. The charging cradle includes a micro USB adapter so users can watch movies and listen to music during charging. A spare battery charging system has a Y-cable so both the phone battery and a spare battery can be charged at the same time. The car dock attaches to either the dashboard or the windshield so the phone can be viewed comfortably while viewing turn-by-turn GPS directions. A high performance battery also is available as well as Samsung Fascinate cases and covers.

When the phone is upgraded to Android 2.2, users will be able to store apps on a memory card instead of just in the phone’s built-in 2GB internal memory.
Like the other Galaxy S phones, the Samsung Fascinate uses the TouchWiz 3.0 interface, which allows a variety of widgets to be added to up to seven home screens. With its ability to load video or mobile web sites in seconds and an impressive array of entertainment and other features, the Samsung Fascinate certainly is a worthy competitor to other smart phones such as the Apple iPhone and HTC Android phones.
